Adirondack Adventure

Alex who is a long-time Legends Outdoors client liked to go camping in the Adirondacks of New York State.  He goes along with several friends and his wife for the multi-day adventures.  One of the main things they do while they are there is go fishing from their kayaks.  They don't have electronics on their kayaks and didn't get to visit many of the sections of the few lakes that are joined by canals and locks.  He and his friend Chris requested Legends Outdoors to take them on a three day exploration adventure.  The serenity and beauty of the entire area is breath taking and well taken care of.  Kudos to New York State for taking such good care of their resources!  Alex and Chris headed out on a warm and calm day as they fished about.  The clear waters held many fish indeed, but most of them were on the smaller side as the action was very good with quantity being the stronger aspect over quality on the trip as finding those bigger bass and pike was a challenge for the anglers.   Chris learned some new techniques and tips as this was an "eye-opening" experience for him indeed.  The many islands canals provided a maze of exploration and opportunities to learn new areas and adventure about the several lakes.  The anglers made some hearty sandwiches each day for the long days on the water and brought along a variety of other snacks and kept well hydrated in these July days.  The best techniques were using finesse plastics and jerkbaits to entice strikes from the fish.  Chris and Alex as mentioned had plenty of action and did catch a few nice fish during the adventure.  The species caught were smallmouth bass, northern pike, largemouth bass, rockbass, and yellow perch.  This was an overall great experience for these men and was exactly what they were looking for in this trip.  A beautiful and breathtaking place indeed and we look forward to hearing how they do in their late August camping trip when they go with their entire group.
