By the Numbers
Nick along with his son Zach were vacationing on Lake Wallenpaupack for several days and wound up using one of those days to go out fishing together with Legends Outdoors. They got out very early on a foggy Tuesday morning and drove across the lake from their dock to the first area. It didn't take long for the action to start as Zach was throwing topwater and Nick the staple Keitech Baits. Smallmouth bass and panfish were in a ravenous mood as they bit often. Soon the topwater would fade though and both local residents were throwing Keitech and doing very well. The fog would eventually lift, but the lake was calm and flat for the entire adventure. Zach was talking about playing football and his favorite school subjects along with his desire to catch a pickerel on this outing. His wishes would be granted as he worked up a nice chain pickerel off a weedbed and fought it very strategically as to not let it cut his line as it would eventually pose for a photo with this father and son duo before being released. This pair had some hearty food and drink during the day to keep up their energy and really enjoyed seeing all the wildlife around the lake on this early July day. The action was steady all trip long as they caught dozens and dozens of fish as Zach was tallying the total of smallmouth bass, rockbass, sunfish, bluegill, and pickerel on the day and they exceeded the 50 mark easily and each caught a fish on their last cast before being dropped off at their dock to continue with the rest of their week festivities at Lake Wallenpaupack. It was a pleasure to have Nick and Zach out with us and we hope to see them again for another Legends Outdoors Adventure.
