Cold Front Conundrum

During the month of May we had several cold fronts hit the area and linger around it seemed week after week, and when Brian and his brother-in-law Ryan set out on a Thursday morning it was that scenario yet once again.  Brian has a place right on the lake at Lake Wallenpaupack and likes to spend a lot of time at the lake, but rarely gets to go fishing as with several children and the request to do other things and other water activities he rarely wets a line.  Ryan is also a proud father and their children get along well and were going to gather with them later this weekend after the boys had a day out together on scenic Lake Wallenpaupack.  As mentioned, the cool air greeted them as did an early blue sky as that tell tale crispness in the air spoke volumes.  The bite was shut down big time, but these two jovial men hung in there and kept at it.  They imbibed several beverages and consumed snacks during the outing and shared in their stories of family life, work life, and various other topics. They had to go down to very light line and tiny baits to get bites on this day and aside from a few smaller gamefish and panfish, they mustered up several nice pickerel as shown below.  Overall there were plenty of laughs and jokes on this day and it was just a good ol' nice day out for these two in-laws together!
