Week on Wallenpaupack
Matt and his father Carl make an annual trek to Lake Wallenpaupack and fish with Legends Outdoors for a Monday through Friday week. This year in the midst of September they voyaged north from their home in Virginia for some late summer action just before the official start of fall. They fished from both the Legends Outdoors Pontoon Boat and bass boats in their five days. They seen mostly overcast skies their entire trip and some heavy rain on one of them. The winds weren't very heavy and mostly light to calm the entire trip. This father and son duo fished with a variety of live bait, Keitech Baits, topwaters, crankbaits, and jigs to encompass their diverse fishing trip. They boated a very nice striped bass, many smallmouth bass, a good variety of panfish including bluegill, sunfish, crappie, and perch. They also caught some pickerel and laregemouth bass that got involved in the mix. Aside from the hoagies or sandwiches that they had on their days out on the lake along with snacks, they were treated to a shore lunch one of the days with a fish fry, macaroni salad, and cupcakes for dessert. There was plenty of laughs and fun to be had all week long! We were very happy to host Matt and Carl again in 2018 as they are a part of our Legends Outdoors family and look forward to seeing them back again next year.
