Holiday Heavyweight

Tim for quite some time has heard many a story about Legends Outdoors from his neighbor on Lake Wallenpaupack known as Kooch.  Now Kooch is a Legends Outdoors regular when asked to go out on the trip that Tim's wife Sarah got for a birthday present for Tim, he couldn't resist.  Tim also brought along his two friends Dave and Andrew for the adventure.  Labor Day Weekend was the setting and a cloudy morning with calm waters and humidity was the setting for their trip.  Their mission was striped bass and they patrolled the areas with bait for a while before a vicious strike occurred and it was "GAME ON" as a monster striper was hooked up by Tim and battled for a long time and as he did a fabulous job with the back and forth jockeying before the heavyweight striper was netted.  This brute weighed in at 18.20#! The celebration was on as mission was fulfilled. These four had some nice beverages out on the lake and had a great time hanging out together.  Although no more stipers were hooked, they did get into some really nice smallmouth bass and had some good action with them.  They did some casting with Keitech Baits later in the trip as the lake became very busy as many a person was out enjoying the holiday weekend.  This quartet also caught several perch that were filleted later on and given to Sarah for a fried fish meal to enjoy at a later date.  Happy Birthday to Tim from all of us here at Legends Outdoors.
