George & Scott's Send-Off

This story dates back to early summer when George and Scott, who had a second home on the lake were giving it one last hooray out on Wallenpaupack before moving to Long Island.  They just sold their home at the lake and had the Uhaul packed and wanted to catch a striped bass before leaving the area after never having caught one in the 20 years of living there. This day would be the day though as a thunder storm including lightning rolled in and the staff and clients waited until it passed and headed out.  George and his son Scott really wanted to catch one before departing east for their new home land.  They drove over the first area and immediately marked fish and bait. They started fishing and within 15 minutes landed a quality striper. Another couple areas were hit before dark with no success. After dark they hit several areas and at the final stop a fish hit 10 ft from boat shot to the top and busted water and spit the hook. It was a good fish that sounded like someone through a cinder block in the water. There were several other fish that missed the bait through the night.  The weather after the storm was calm at first, but the wind which changed direction after the storm steadily increased until the end of the trip. The mission was accomplished landing this one dandy striper that posed for a couple pictures and we at Legends Outdoors would like to wish George and Scott the very best in their new venture in the state of New York.
