Martin's Memorial Day Dash

Martin returned to the scene of Lake Wallenpaupack where he has been out with Legends Outdoors before.  This time a night trip was on slate for this returning client doing a solo mission.  The late evening and into dark was brutal with boat traffic for the holiday weekend and the fishing was the same as not a bite was to be had for several hours.  A few bites were then missed after a while and momentum was picking up as Martin knew that with any cast that trophy strike could happen.  He confidently fished on and then it happened in the cloudy night that did not let the light of the moon shine down for better vision and yet a hungry striper smacked his bait and the battle was on for Martin.  He played the beast out and a 15# striper was put into the boat and quickly posed for a photo.  The drizzle had been coming down on and off and then just as it started to rain more steadily...SLAM....another big strike from a striper and Martin reared back and set the hook on another awesome specimen and battled that one until he exhausted the lunker that tipped the scales at 18#!  This trip Martin seen some deer feeding as the evening wore into night and he conversed with the guide about forage in the lake along with patterns and movements of stripers and walleyes making this a complete adventure for this Memorial Day Weekend.
