Tom and Debbie are a terrific
couple who spend a lot of time traveling together doing some camping and fishing. With the Lake Wallenpaupack area as one of their stops, we at Legends Outdoors were happy to have them on-board for back to back days. Day
one was a very early start well before sunrise and brought a chilly
morning which turned into a splendid day with bluebird skies and comfortable temps
once the orange ball made its well above the horizon to warm things up a bit. Debbie kicked things off
in the darkness with a beautiful 12# striper after she carefully battled this very aggressive fish. An hour or so later another big fish struck and Tom hooked into a giant which dogged him for a while before he could bring it to the net and bring aboard a 16# channel catfish. Tom then added a nice 3# smallmouth which capped the
morning before calling it a day.
Day two brought weather that was just as nice
adding some wispy clouds making for a spectacular sunrise that just adds to the total experience. They had a few striped bass hits early, but could not
connect. Then right at 8:00 AM Tom hooked into a big fish that fought and acted
very unusual and after we got it aboard we could see
why. Tom had landed a big northern pike which is a rare catch here. Approximately two hours later another striped bass hit and Tom combated this powerful fish and a 10 plus# striper was worked into the net rounding out the catches for day two. We at Legends Outdoors hope Tom and Debbie keep enjoying their travels and adventures wherever it may take them.
