Striper Slugfest
Big Earl had intentions to get out for some striped bass fishing with his son Earl Jr. this spring. They were in a holding pattern waiting on a moments notice when the situation would be right. The call came in, but Big Earl had an important business meeting to attend that he couldn't miss. His son Earl Jr. has been getting excellent grades in school, so his father treated him to the trip to go out there and pursue a species of fish he had never landed before. It was set and Earl Jr. went out with Legends Outdoors in heavy rains with frigid temperatures and a persistent wind. It didn't take long for Earl to hook into his first striper and after a tough battle he had broken the striper ice. After a few stops he hit the jackpot and hooked into one after another and wound up with a big grin and sore arms as he landed in the high teens of stripers including the four seen below in the photos. It was an absolute A+ day for Earl Jr. and he reiterated during the outing several times how grateful he was to his father for sending him on this trip and that he wished he was along to relish in the awesomeness of catching these spectacular fish.
