Hot out of the Gates
John Jr. has been an avid student of the sport of fishing by reading many articles and watching a variety of programs while also getting out in the field in the open water. One thing he did want to try was ice-fishing, so he and his father John Sr. took a trip from New York to the Poconos for some hard water angling with Legends Outdoors. Their maiden trip greeted them with overcast skies, temperatures in 20's, little to no winds with a front approaching. This combination proved to be extremely potent as they had virtually non stop action with over 40 flags and some jigging action. They were hustling for the tip ups all throughout the day and caught numerous largemouth bass with some real hawgs as seen in photos along with several pickerel and some good sized panfish that were caught both on the tip ups and jig poles. The day also had a lunch time treat of venison back straps and jalapeno venison hot dogs cooked fresh on the grill. What a great day it was overall for John and John and we look forward to seeing them back again with Legends Outdoors.
