Springtime Slab Crappies

Chef Dave and Chrissy went on their annual spring panfish excursion recently in the month of May.  They had extraordinary weather with a light chop, blue skies, and comfortable temperatures.  This ideal spring day would be one to remember as Dave and Chrissy had outstanding action all day long!  They used a heavy diet of Keitech to entice dozens upon dozens of strikes.  Not only were the fish eating well, but the clients and guide were also as chef prepared pecan chicken sliders that consisted of diced grilled chicken, pecans, diced apples, sliced grapes and chefs own special mixed seasoning all tossed in a creamy mayonnaise.  Chef also brought along some deep fried strips of snakehead for everyone to try along with the sliders.  What an overall day it was as they pair caught several dozen crappies with a couple exceeding the 15" & 16" length.  They also caught a few bluegill, perch, and a couple gamefish that were added to the mix during the day.  We look forward to seeing Dave and Chrissy again later this season for another outdoor adventure.
